Menswear is not only about the Hypebeast fashion

MaddieZ

First off, shout out to the one and only style god Jerry Lorenzo. Thanks for inspiring, or else I would never care what my boyfriend wears LOL.

I have to admit that I am guilty of stealing sweaters/hoodies from my boyfriend. So I have to make sure that his wardrobe matches my style.

James' birthday is coming up and I had to go through this long, frustrating process of hunting for an affordable but still stylish piece to brighten up his all black closet which is filled by NikeLab and Adidas.

Here are some of the options that I've considered. I hope you can get some idea too and find this helpful!

Question is... do I even have guy subscribers?

Under $500 CAD:

1. All Saints:

All Saints is definitely our go-to place to shop for sweaters and leather jackets. I love their Hawaiian shirt collection too, which is not too masculine and has a perfect oversize fit for me.

2.Nigel Cabourn

Nigel Cabourn is a British designer that promotes authenticity and craftsmanship. He incorporates stories and traditions from vintage military and classic sportswear clothing to his own modern design, also known as the Heritage fashion.

3.Saturdays NYC

All these can be purchased through Needsupply.co, click on the image if you want to see more!

3.Stone Island

4.The North Face Black Series X Kazuki Kuraishi

The North Face has the best collaborations ever, either with Supreme or Junya Watanabe. Last week, Haven dropped this new collection of The North Face X Kazuki Kuraishi, which was of course sold out in a few hours. But keep an eye on Grailed for any resales.

5.Wacko Maria

This Japanese brand can be purchased through SSENSE/Farfetch / Endclothing /Haven or their own online store.

Under $1000 CAD

1. Ambush

$600 for a ripped sweater? Yeh... maybe not.

3. Schott

3. R13

Above $1000CAD:

1. Raf Simons

Jan-Michael Quammie, the editor in chief of Material Magazine, has once expressed her love to Raf Simons' menswear collection, "Raf always knows the perfect dose of sport, class, and street to incorporate to his collection."

2. Fear of Price, Oops I mean **Fear of God**

The sixth collection is dropping in retail early 2019. Lookbook is dominated by neutral tone looks, showcasing a "laid-back Californian" style. (Jake Silbert).

Most looks are boxy shirts layered with oversized plaid shirts and hooded bombers, then paired with slouchy trackpants.

I also love the fact that they casted Jared Leto and a unicorn in their campaign film, they do have the perfectly matching aesthetic.

Peep their lookbook here!
